You have probably noticed that, for the past few days, Google has been displaying a small logo in search results. This makes it immediately clear to users which website the information comes from. A logo of this kind has been shown in Yandex search results for several years. Naturally, the Yandex trend faded as the number of real estate websites was reduced to those that were actually „operational“.

A few days ago, Google announced that it will soon be possible to shop directly from search results. A dedicated section will be created with filters, prices, logos, and other features. Several news websites have already promoted the option. We have not yet been able to trigger it in search results. In all likelihood, it has not reached our market yet. We are looking forward to it. 

It is assumed that, in this way, Google are responding to Amazon, who use the search engine to attract users to their own site. There is nothing wrong with that. It will expand the opportunities available to a wide range of users.

And one more thing that has caused concern among many digital marketing agencies: cookies and Google Privacy Sandbox. This is such a strategic change that it is very unlikely to be aimed at smaller players, or even at agencies. Once again, we suspect Amazon.
